Utah's Youth and Families with Promise 4-H Mentoring Program (YFP) is a mentoring program designed for youth, ages 10-14, and their families. Young adult mentors establish caring relationships with the identified youth. This program allows youth to develop their interpersonal and academic skills by participating with them in structured recreation, community service, and community youth groups.
Youth involved in the program:
- meet 4 times each month with their mentor, 1 meeting sponsored by 4-h
- attend weekly Afterschool clubs
- attend monthly Family Night Out programs with their family.
