Achievement Scorecard
Utah County 4-H does a 4-H Achievement scorecard for the 4-H Achievement Program. This is an incentive program to encourage 4-H youth to become even more active in 4-H. Youth must be official 4-H age (8 and in 3rd grade as of October 1st of the current 4-H year) to be eligible for this program.
There are 3 levels of awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze.
- To earn the Gold Award, youth must earn at least 25 points AND turn in their 4-H Portfolio.
- The Silver Award is given to 4-Hers earning 20-24 points.
- The Bronze Award is given to 4-Hers who earn 15-19 points.
4-H youth record their points on the scorecard, sign it and turn it in. Every event on the card is worth one point unless indicated differently. Attend county 4-H activities and events, participate in livestock shows, family night out events, enter projects into the fair, or compete in contests...there are a lot of options available for 4-H youth to earn an Achievement award!
Each 4-Her should keep track of their activities throughout the year on their individual scorecard. They turn the scorecard in to the 4-H Office on or before October 1st along with their 4-H Portfolio, if they are entering one. Awards will be presented at 4-H Achievement Night in November. Check the last page of the current calendar/newsletter for the Scorecard.
