Utah County 4-H Horse
We would like to congratulate our 2017- 2018 Hippology Team: Kyra Feland, Kelsey Hughes, Kami Packer, and Rachel Poulsen for placing 6th overall at Western National Roundup last week. The team also placed 4th overall in the Written Exam/Slides Phase, 6th overall in the Station Phase, and 8th overall in the Team Problem Phase.
We would also like to congratulate Kyra Feland for Placing 5th individually in the Written Exam/Slides Phase and 10th overall High Individual.
We would also like to congratulate Kami Packer for placing 8th individually in the Written Exam/Slides Phase.
Before youth can participate in the 4-H Horse program they must first become a member of 4-H. To do this you must do three things.

2nd: Create a profile at https://ut.4honline.com
3rd: Pay the $10.00 enrollment fee (online, over the phone, or in person).

The State 4-H Office is calling all horse participants to join their mailing list in an effort to improve their communication with everyone. May 9, 2018: Horse Bowl #3 - 6:00 p.m. at the Utah County 4-H Office. Come participate in the Horse Bowl contest. Come as a team or come alone but just come. Senior youth wishing to qualify for State 4-H Contests must participate in at least one horse bowl in order to qualify. State Qualifiers will be selected based on their individual performance. To encourage and reward effort, 5 extra points will be awarded to each individual based on how many bowl contests they attend.

May 15, 2018: Youth Mustang Challenge registration deadline. There is still time to get signed up for this amazing summer opportunity! Youth have 100 days to train a wild mustang, then participate in a trail challenge and adoption auction at the end of the summer. May 19, 2018: Millard County 4-H Horse and Livestock Camp. Millard County 4-H is opening up an amazing opportunity to all 4-H youth interested in horse or livestock projects. You do not have to currently be participating in this project in order to attend. Register online at ut.4honline.com by May 4, 2018. Registration is $10.00 and includes lunch and a shirt.
JYC 2018 Information
June 4-6, 2018 at Snow College in Ephriam, Utah for 5th and 6th grade youth.
Cost: $125 *May vary by county

i4-H 2018: Join us at the Circus!
Registration Closes June 1
Open to 7-8th graders
June 18-20 at Utah State University Eastern in Price, Utah
Cost: $115 Packing List
i4-H camp is a 3 day 4-H camp experience packed with fun workshops, water adventures, and new friendships. This camp is held at USU Eastern and open to 7th and 8th graders. Register through 4-H Online https://ut.4honline.com
June 12 - 14, 2018: English Horse Camp hosted by Cache County. Cache County Fairgrounds
- $90 for Cache County Residents. $100 for all other counties
- Register through 4-H Online
- $75 stall cleaning deposit required in the form of a check. Check will be returned to you upon departure
- This camp is tailored for those who want to practice English Riding. Teaching and classes are based on 4-H goals for the English Program. This will vary from standard Pony Club classes, heights, and patterns. Campers will participate in a schooling show with awards. This camp is open to all interested 4-H English riders in all Utah Counties. (additional $10 fee applies) Register through ut.4honline.com. No refunds will be given after May 11th.
